Exercise Physiology for DVA Members
At Motion Matters, we proudly support veterans through tailored exercise programs designed to improve physical health, enhance daily functioning, and promote overall well-being. Recognising the unique challenges faced by veterans, our accredited Exercise Physiologists are experienced in delivering programs under the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) initiative.
How We Help
Veterans often encounter health concerns such as chronic pain, mental health conditions, mobility restrictions, or injuries sustained during service. Exercise physiology can be a transformative tool to manage these conditions effectively. We create individualised programs that focus on:
Pain Management: Through targeted exercises to alleviate discomfort and improve function.
Mobility and Balance: Addressing limitations to enhance independence and reduce the risk of falls.
Mental Health Support: Exercise has proven benefits in reducing stress, anxiety, and symptoms of PTSD.
Rehabilitation Post-Injury or Surgery: Assisting with recovery to restore strength and endurance.
DVA Funding and Support
DVA Gold and eligible White Card holders can access Exercise Physiology services at no out-of-pocket cost through approved referrals. We work closely with referring doctors and the DVA to ensure seamless support. From understanding eligibility to implementing effective treatment plans, we’re here to simplify the process for you.
